This sculpture features an original character of mine in his natural habitat (he's a monstrous man-eating shark). After eating some poor soul on the beach, a seal unknowingly wanders into the scene. I used a strong base made of paper and tape before I placed armature wire and clay. I used surface finishing to achieve the grittiness of shark skin, and tested paint swatches to achieve a more natural look.
