This room was mainly inspired by nuclear incidents in Chernobyl and Three Mile Island, as well as the changes I saw in my childhood city when I visited it. Doughnut shops were a common feature in Long Beach, CA, but they fell into disrepair and were abandoned as their owners moved out or retired. In this fictional shop, guests can get up close to abandoned restaurant equipment and wonder what life was like before the shop closed down.
